Canopy of a Special Hell
Many of the most dangerous demons in the Forest That Is a Mountain are made of heavy materials or are otherwise groundbound, so the Wolf Matron's Thousand Pilfered Young learn to climb quickly. It's safer up there, but Bottle Maids will only venture so far up to deliver milk, rain is rare, and oases are a danger all their own, so every high-climber must descend eventually.
