Demon Chat Approaches
You hear the dainty click of heels coming around the corner. The room gets warmer, warmer, and the shadows grow long around you. The tap, tap, tap of the heels on the floor echo strangely, almoet multiplying in your ears, as the person gets closer. The room is hot now, almost sweltering, and sweat drips down your temple as you watch the shadows dancing, eating up the walls. The clicking continues, nearer, nearer, and then there's a slow creak of the door as it opens on rusty hinges. You gulp, feeling like stones are filling your stomach.
And then, slowly, a huge, bristling form enters, with slitted glowing eyes and razorsharp teeth that grin in your direction.
That creature--that thing--there's no way that something that curls and presses into the room and mixes with the shadows more than it takes physical form-- could be the source of the sound.
And yet, there's one more click as it steps closer.
That's the last thing you hear.
