Haunted Home for Wayward Girls
It wasn't an orphanage. Orphanages were for children who had no family to care for them. This place was where your parents sent you when you were bad too often and didn't do what you were told. Some girls were there only because they had snuck out of their house to meet with a boy or because they were talking back to their parents. Simple things. Normal things really.
But some girls...
But some girls were there for far worse crimes than sassing mommy.
It started with the scullery cat. She went missing and never returned. Then some of the smallest girls started having nightmares. Waking up with cuts and bruises. Then one girl went missing... just like the cat. Then it was two. Then three. Then more.
The only thing that stopped it was the fire. The authorities never figured out how it started. But anyone who had ever set foot in the Home for Wayward girls knows.
