Les morts se lèvent.
Leur pas lents descendent la grand-rue en direction de la mer. Tous font silence sur leur passage - sauf les marins. Eux chantent pour porter chance à leurs morts, car ils savent que le dernier voyage est peut-être le plus périlleux. Dans cet instant sinistrement solennel, seuls le crépitement des torches et le battement une cloche viennent troubler leurs voix.
