Act 1 of Macbeth is about three witches saying a spell. The setting is in an abandoned area in a past time. The mood of the story was overall scary and eerie. This can be supported by the text because of the words they use like "foul" and "filthy". I think the theme of this is don't underestimate the power behind something because it might be more than you could handle.
