The Dankworth Asylum
"The Dankworth Asylum opened in 1924. Elizabeth Dankworth was known to be a cruel woman as she treated patients and staff poorly. The asylum closed its doors for good in 1937 after Elizabeth's sudden disappearance. The only people who dared to enter reported hearing several types of noises such as distant laments, footsteps and doors opening and closing at random times."
