The Gates to The Inferno
"Lo, I stood before a prodigious wall of ingenious brimstone and slate that pierced the dark firmament above vanishing into the shadowed nullity. The gelid voices of the damned whispered in my ears sweet and unnerving nothings!
Beneath the bridge were the horrid howling monstrous beasts with the slick and prehensile body of a serpent, the head of a dragon and the legs and keen talons of a eagle! There piercing cries made the foundation of the blacken bridge to shake and tremble!
A stone bridge stretched to the heart of the mountainous, barrier of flaming rock where towers a double door gate of marble of titanic size! Approximately 500 cubits in length, 50 cubits in width and 60 cubits in height. Embellished upon the pale stone we're bare hominid statuettes all embracing each other; there faces wide with pure apprehension! Upon the top of the gates where the Latin inscription "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate" translation 'Abandon all hope ya who enter here'"
