The ride from Van Tassel's
After a Hallow's Eve party of stunning elegance, the schoolmaster Ichabod Crane returns home after gaining scorn from his beloved Katrina. The night had been filled with spooky stories and tales from beyond, but with all the merrymaking Ichabod had reveled in the atmosphere. Now, there were no guests, no roaring fire at the hearth, and no 17 course feast on-demand. Now, Mr. Crane was alone, just old Gunpowder to keep him company, and he offered precious little conversation. The anecdotes of New England witchcraft and topless spectre's now flooded into his mind as the schoolmaster pushed his boney steed onward. As of now, things were rather uneventful. Perhaps he was simply a bit drunk...
